# Required Mods

There are three mods required to play Witcher Online.

"Unpack archive contents into your game directory" refers to dragging and dropping all contents of the mod into the game's root folder.\
Example: `C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY`

### Community Patch - Shared Imports

1. Head to the [mod page](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2110?tab=files), find the `modSharedImports-v.0.6 - NEXT-GEN.zip` file
2. Press the `Manual download` button and download the mod
3. Unpack archive contents into your game directory

### Custom Player Characters

Requires Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine DLC to be installed.

1. Head to the [mod page](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/5940?tab=files), find the `Custom Player Characters` file
2. Press the `Manual download` button and download the mod
3. Unpack archive contents into your game directory
4. Launch [Script Merger](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8405) to resolve script changes.
5. Refer to the [mod page](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/5940?) for additional instructions to install compatibility patches for other mods or adding custom key binds, but these are not needed for Witcher Online.

### Chill Out

1. Head to the [mod page](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/6402?tab=files), find the `Chill Out (Next-Gen 4.04)` file
2. Press the `Manual download` button and download the mod
3. Unpack archive contents into your game directory
4. Launch [Script Merger](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8405) to resolve script changes.
5. Refer to the [mod page](https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/6402) for additional instructions to install compatibility patches for other mods or adding custom key binds, but these are not needed for Witcher Online.

### Settings Updater

Install this mod if you want to use the Witcher Online menu (to emote, chat, and change morphs) using a configurable key bind.

2. Press the `Manual download` button and download the mod
3. Unpack archive contents into your game directory
